The Project
This third and (we hope) final capital campaign is to raise the money needed to pay what we still owe on our latest renovation and expansion project. The project has provided:
- A brighter, remodeled sanctuary
- A rebuilt, expanded organ
- New pews
- A new communion table, baptismal font and chancel furnishings
- A new cross
- Acoustical enhancements
- A new sanctuary roof
- An enlarged foyer and elevator
- A Welcome Center
- A new kitchen
- Fire suppression and safety equipment
Funding
We have repaid almost 70 percent of what our renovation and expansion cost. We must now raise $1.3 million to finish paying what we owe. Our plan is to do this over the next three years. Retiring this debt in three years will avoid the need for a fourth campaign or for having to absorb the loan payments into our annual operating budget. Retiring the debt in three years will save over $377,000 in interest costs.
